At the New Moon, my spirit is renewed.
I celebrate beginnings and set new goals.
My creativity surges now, as the Muse
moves my hand in new directions.
All work that begins tonight is charged
with love and focused intention.

Welcoming the New Moon in Aquarius! Symbolic to growth and rebirth, the Moon has a powerful impact on our bodies and surrounding environment. Many cultures, dating back centuries, acknowledge the lunar cycle with a ritutal, offering, ceremony or calendar of events such as sowing seeds and reaping harvest.
The New Moon is considered a fertile phase, which is why many opt to plant seeds during this phase of the moon. The New Moon pulls the most moisture from the soil, which allow the seeds to absorb more water for bursting their seed coat. This idea transfers to planting personal "seeds" of intention. The New Moon also has a stronger gravitational pull - naturally grounding us closer to the Earth, providing a strong foundation to express intimate goals. Just as the seedlings need attention and nurture during this essential time, your personal goals deserve to be recognized and celebrated as we enter the growth period of the waxing moon.
Today's New Moon in Aquarius is the first Super Moon of 2015, meaning the moon is at it's closest approach to Earth. It is said that the Super Moon will amplify your intentions and stimulate an abundance of creativity. Allow yourself to listen to your heart's desires and encourage your children to take time to do the same.
The New Moon Intentions Worksheet is a great tool to promote goal-setting with the lunar cylce and to help stimulate positive family brainstorming and intention-setting. See also: Vision Boarding.
