Lotus Pose (Padmasana)- Begin by sitting on the floor with your legs stretched out in front of you. Take your right leg and place the top of your right foot on the top of the left thigh. Repeat by bending your left leg and placing the top of the left foot on the right thigh. Listen to your body. If this pose does not feel good at first, start with “half” Lotus by bringing the right foot on top of the left thigh and the left foot under the right leg. Gently work your way into full lotus after consistent practice.
Benefits: Padmasana is a calming pose and stretches the knees and ankles.
